Organizational Setting
The Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications implements the IAEA's Major Programme 2, "Nuclear Techniques for Development and Environmental Protection". This Major Programme encompasses individual programmes on food and agriculture, human health, water resources, environment, and radiation technologies, supported by laboratories in Seibersdorf, Monaco, and Vienna. The objective is to enhance the capacity of Member States to meet basic human needs and manage the marine and terrestrial environments through nuclear and isotopic techniques in sustainable development programmes.
The Division of Human Health is organized into four Sections, enhancing Member States' capabilities in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of health problems through nuclear techniques within a quality assurance framework.
The Dosimetry and Medical Radiation Physics Section (DMRP) is responsible for quality assurance and metrology in radiation medicine, providing technical support to ensure safe applications of nuclear technology in radiotherapy, diagnostic radiology, and nuclear medicine.
Main Purpose
The consultant provides technical expertise to the DMRP Section regarding training activities related to Medical Physics and contributes to projects on training activities in medical physics for radiotherapy.

Remuneration
The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of €150, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
